Jammu And Kashmir: Civilian Shot Dead by Terrorists in Awantipora
Terrorists on Thursday night abducted a local and shot him dead in Gulzarpora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Awantipora. The individual identified as Manzoor Ahmad Lone, a resident of Dogripora.
Awantipora, March 15: Terrorists abducted a local and shot him dead in Gulzarpora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Awantipora on Thursday night. The individual identified as Manzoor Ahmad Lone was a resident of Dogripora. A case has been registered in this matter and police have started an investigation into the incident. According to reports, Lone’s body was recovered near Higher Secondary School at Gulzarpora. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area. It is the third attack on civilians in South Kashmir in the last two days. On Thursday a National Conference (NC) worker Muhammad Ismail was shot at and injured in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district.
Meanwhile, a former army man was shot dead on Wednesday in Pulwama district. According to reports, the gunfight broke out outside the jawan's house in Pingleena village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama. The ex-army man was injured in the gunfight. Later he succumbed to his injuries.
