Jammu, March 24: An army jawan was martyred on Sunday after Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch sector. According to a tweet by ANI, Army Jawan Hari Waker, a resident of Rajasthan, was critically injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Saturday night. He was soon rushed to Army Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. According to reports, the Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling and unprovoked firing from across the border. On March 22, two Army jawans were injured as in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the forward posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Jammu districts.

According to reports, Pakistani troops continued night-long mortar shelling and firing in Pallanwala, Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors on Friday, official said. The two jawans, who were injured in Pallanwala sector, were admitted to a hospital. On March 21, an Army Jawan was martyred in shelling and firing by Pakistani forces from across the border in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control in Jammu. According to reports, the security forces retaliated to the ceasefire violation effectively, but one Army Jawan succumbed to his injuries.
