Srinagar, August 28: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday announced 50,000 jobs in the state administration. He appealed to the youth of the Kashmir valley to apply for jobs. Satya Pal Malik's Statement:

In the press briefing, Malik assured that mobile connectivity in all the districts of the state would be restored gradually. He also stated that the medium of phone and internet is mostly used by Pakistani-backed terrorists for misguiding Kashmiris. Satya Pal Malik's Press Briefing:

Malik told media that there had not been a single loss of life in the state after the Narendra Modi government scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Malik further added, “Only the few who got violent are injured, they also have below the waist injuries.”

The Indian government has been rejecting reports of foreign media that there were any protests by Kashmiris against the abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The Modi government diluted the Article 370 on August 5, after which internet services in the valley were suspended.
