Jammu And Kashmir: 2 Terrorists Gunned Down in Tral Encounter by Security Forces

The security forces on Friday neutralised two terrorists in an encounter which broke out near Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Maldoora Tral in South Kashmir.

Pulwama, May 31: The security forces on Friday neutralised two terrorists in an encounter which broke out near Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Maldoora Tral in South Kashmir. According to reports, the gun battle broke out after the terrorists lobbed grenade at the camp of CRPF's 180 Battalion.  Pulwama Grenade Attack: CRPF Camp Targetted Again by Terrorists in Tral, Security Forces Begins Encounter.

The joint operation was carried out by Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF. Arms and Ammunition were also recovered from the encounter site. However, the identity of the terrorists is yet to be ascertained. It was the second encounter in the day. Earlier in the morning, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu & Kashmir's Shopian district. Out of the three terrorists, two belong to Hizbul Mujahideen. These two terrorists were identified as  Abid Manzoor Magray alias Saju Tiger and Hilal Ahmad. Meanwhile, the third person killed in the encounter was a close associate of terrorists and was identified as Jasim Ahmad Shah.
