New Delhi: Jain Muni Tarun Sagar died after a prolonged illness in the wee hours on Saturday in New Delhi. He was 51 years old. According to reports, he was suffering from jaundice and other ailments. Tarun Sagar breathed his last at about 3 AM at Radhapuri Jain temple situated in Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi.
His last rites would be performed at Tarunsagaram, Muradnagar in Uttar Pradesh today. Tarun Sagar was admitted to a private hospital in August. His health continued to deteriorate. Tarun Sagar Reported had stopped taking medicine due to which he was brought to Radhapuri temple. At the temple, he opted for 'Santhara'.

The Jain Muni was born on June 26, 1967, in Madhya Pradesh's Dahoh district. His original name was Pawan Kumar Jain. He left his home in the year 1981 to lead a life of a monk. He delivered sermons, 'kadve pravachan' in Haryana Assembly in 2016. Bollywood music director Vishal Dadlani took a dig at the Jain Muni for his sermons in the assembly. However, after criticism Dadlani apologised later.
