Bhopal, November 3: In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old man was brutally murdered by his 19-year-old nephew during a disagreement over contributions for alcohol and chicken at a party in the Charagwan area of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. The victim, Manoj “Mannu” Thakur, was attacked by his nephew, Dharam “Abhi” Thakur, after a heated argument about the amount of money each had contributed.
The two had purchased INR 340 worth of alcohol and INR 60 worth of chicken and went to a nearby field to have a small party, the Free Press Journal reported. During the party, Manoj accused Dharam of contributing less money than expected. In a fit of anger, Manoj struck Dharam on the back with a wooden stick intended for cooking the chicken. Police arrived at the scene to investigate and noticed bloodstains on Dharam’s clothes, which, along with the presence of flies around the area, indicated a violent struggle. Dharam was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody. He now faces serious charges under section 103 (1) of the BNS for the brutal killing of his uncle.
In other news, a man allegedly hacked his son to death after a dispute over alcohol on Diwali night in Indore. The father confessed to his crime after being interrogated by the police. The deceased, Chetan, was a history-sheeter. Neighbours said that the son would beat his parents if they refused to give him money for alcohol. Agitated, his father killed him. The son, who had a previous criminal record, was found dead at his residence on the night of Diwali. Police were informed about the body by the neighbours. Police arrived at the crime scene and found blood all over. The body was sent for post-mortem, and it was revealed that the man died due to a deadly blow to his head.
