Munsiari, December 26: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police on Wednesday rescued 11 people including five adventure trekkers from Delhi, five porters and a guide, from Uttarakhand's Munsiari. They all were stranded in Munsiari region since December 24 due to heavy snowfall in Khaliya Top in Bhainstal area. They were rescued by 14 Battalion of ITBP personnel. Earlier last month, the Indian Air Force (IAF) had rescued three youths from Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. The rescued people were stranded in Holi area after the heavy snowfall. Later, the youths were hospitalised for a precautionary checkup. Meanwhile, the Himachal and Uttarakhand government has issued an advisory to people who are visiting high altitude areas.
