Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch rocket PSLV-C43 carrying HySIS, an Earth observation satellite, and 30 co-passengers satellite including 23 from the United States.
Sriharikota, November 28: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch rocket PSLV-C43 carrying HySIS, an Earth observation satellite, and 30 co-passengers satellite including 23 from the United States. The satellite will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota tomorrow. The historic event will be live telecasted by DD National at 09:30 am (IST) while the launch is scheduled at 09:58 am on November 29. "HysIS is an earth observation satellite developed by ISRO. It is the primary satellite of the PSLV-C43 mission. The satellite will be placed in 636 km polar sun-synchronous orbit (SSO) with an inclination of 97.957 deg. The mission life of the satellite is 5 years," ISRO said in a statement. Here some facts about PSLVC43:
This will mark ISRO's second launch this month. Earlier on November 14, the space agency launched communication satellite, GSAT-29 on board GSLV MkIII-D2. The satellite, weighing 3423 kg, will improve connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast to facilitate smooth execution of Digital India initiative.
