New Delhi, January 19: Three suspects were arrested from Delhi and Kerala for allegedly planning to kill senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders in Karnataka's Mangalore district. Republic Day 2018 Delhi Metro Operations: Services to Remain Curtailed for Security Purpose.

The police said that fugitive Indian don Dawood Ibrahim is behind the planned attack and that Pakistan-Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) terror module sponsored the act.

The three suspects have been identified as Sonu alias Tahsim, Riayujdeen and Wali Mohammed Afghan.

The conspiracy to kill the political members of the RSS was hatched by the D-Gang and ISI.

The police have also arrested Ghulam Rasool Patty, who is believed to be a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim.

One of the arrested terrorists is said to have fled to Pakistan following the Gujarat riots and was also allegedly involved in BJP leader Haren Pandya's assassination.

In view of threat of terrorist attack during the forthcoming Republic Day, Jammu and Kashmir Police Thursday issued advisory to officers, asking them to remain vigil round-the-clock as several new check-points have been set up for frisking of people here.

The present security situation in the state and impending threats from anti-national elements, some nakas and frisking points have been established in the city as well as rural areas for the security and safety of the people, advisory issued by the Inspector-General of Police office here.
