"There must be some protection to Chidambaram. He is a 74-year-old man, put him under house arrest, no prejudice will be caused to anyone," said Sibal in the Supreme Court. The apex court said that the Congress leader should apply for bail before the concerned court. What is INX Media Case?

The CBI has accused Chidambaram of facilitating a huge infusion of foreign funds into INX Media in 2007, when he was the Finance Minister. Chidambaram and his son Karti were named by INX Media co-founders and Indrani Mukerjea and Peter Mukerjea, who are in jail in Mumbai for the murder of Indrani's daughter Sheena Bora.
