New Delhi, November 29: Four former bureaucrats who were the members of the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in the INX Media case have moved a bail plea in a special court in Delhi. FIPB had allegedly granted clearance to the INX Media group for receiving overseas funds of Rs 305 crore in 2007, during Chidambaram's tenure as the finance minister. The Court had issued the summons against the six FIPB members while taking cognizance in CBI case of INX media case. Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram is already in jail in the INX Media money laundering case filed by the ED. Former NITI Aayog CEO Sindhushree Khullar, who was among the bureaucrats who were issued the summons, on Friday moved a bail plea before a Delhi court in the INX Media corruption case.

Former OSD to finance minister Pradeep Kumar Bagga and former FIPB director Prabodh Saxena also moved bail pleas in the case. The matter is likely to be taken by Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar shortly when former Union minister, P Chidambaram an accused in this case, is produced from Tihar jail where he is currently lodged in a money laundering case.
