INS Khanderi Commissioned Into Indian Navy: Rajnath Singh Says India's Naval Force Capable of Delivering 'Bigger Blow' to Pakistan
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh cautioned the neighbouring country not to meddle in India's affairs and warned it of India's capability at the Commissioning ceremony of INS Khanderi in Mumbai.
Mumbai, September 28: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday slammed Pakistan Premier Imran Khan for reaching out door-to-door globally on the Jammu and Kashmir, and attempting to create a false narrative. He even cautioned the neighbouring country not to meddle in India's affairs and warned it of India's capability at the Commissioning ceremony of INS Khanderi.
Addressing a gathering of Indian Navy officers, while commissioning INS Khanderi at the dockyard of the Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai, the Union Defence Minister said that some powers want to do a 26/11 Mumbai-like attack on Indian coastal regions, but their desires will not be allowed to be fulfilled. Warning Pakistan of India's capability, Singh stated, "Pakistan should understand that today with strong resolve of our government and advancement in naval capacity with additions like INS Khanderi, we are capable of giving much bigger blow to it." He added that the Indian Navy would take strict action against those who disturb peace in the region.

Boasting about INS Khanderi, Singh stated, "I am very pleased to be present here on the occasion of the commissioning ceremony of INS Khanderi. The name Khanderi is inspired by the dreaded ‘Sword Tooth Fish,’ a deadly fish known to hunt whilst swimming close to the bottom of the ocean."

INS Khanderi is the second attack submarine that has been commissioned into the Indian Navy under the P-75 project. Apart from commissioning INS Khanderi, Singh also commissioned the first of India's P-17 Shivalik-class frigate Nilgiri and the aircraft carrier drydock into the Indian Navy. The aircraft carrier drydock is the largest drydock of the Indian Navy and provides facilities for refuelling and repair, which also include maintenance works.
