Mumbai, September 17: The prime accused of Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani and Peter Mukerjea, will be appearing before the family court on September 18 to end their 16-year-old marriage. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Indrani had written a two-page letter from Byculla's women prison, Mumbai, to Peter in Arthur Jail on August 13. In a letter written by her, she demanded candles, bedside lamps, furniture, soft furnishings, jewellery, religious objects, artworks and keys to a safe.
According to Peter's lawyer Edith Day, Indrani in her letter said, “Any other items i.e. the items that are in the list in the divorce petition that I have not put in this list as yet, I may request at a later date". The letter ends with, “Please shift your belongings from Flat no.19 of Marlow Building to Flat no. 18 except the items that I had marked in the photographs of Flat no. 19 that I had handed over to you.”
Indrani has been accused of kidnapping and murdering Sheena Bora (her daughter) along with Peter. The murder came to light when Indrani's driver Shyamvar Rai, arrested in the different case, revealed everything in front of police. Indrani Mukerjea's Bail Plea Rejected By Special CBI Court
Indrani, who is 46-years-old, met Peter, 64-year-old(now), in 2002, and nearly three months later the duo got married. Meanwhile, Indrani was having three kids from her previous marriage - Mekhail, Vidhie and Sheena.
A special court last week directed officials at Byculla and Arthur Jail to present the duo before a family court on Tuesday to solve their dispute.
