An Indore woman died of severe burns after her clothes caught fire during a home remedy. The 40-year-old woman Sameena was suffering from typhoid for 15 days. The family resorted to home remedy after she couldn’t recover from the disease even after full course of medication.

Indore, October 26: An Indore woman died of severe burns after her clothes caught fire during a home remedy. The 40-year-old woman Sameena was suffering from typhoid for 15 days. The family resorted to home remedy after she couldn’t recover from the disease even after full course of medication.

According to a report in TOI, Sameena and her husband Aslam were married for 20 years and have four children. Aslam drives a van for a living. When the family found out, they rushed the couple to Indore, around 90km away from Gurjarkheda village, but Sameena couldn't be saved. She had suffered 80% burns when she was brought to MY Hospital on Monday night, Sanyogitaganj police outpost in-charge Shankarlal Meena said. She died on Tuesday night.

Her body was handed over to her family after a post-mortem examination.

In another such incident in Vasai, a 27-year-old woman riding a pillion allegedly lost her life after her dupatta got entangled in the rear wheel of the two-wheeler. As a result, the woman fell on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad national highway at Naigaon. The police have registered a case of accidental death concerning the matter.
