Indore, July 8: A high-profile kidnapping case involving the daughter of a prominent businessman caused a major stir in Indore and Bhopal on Sunday night. According to a report published by Navbharat Times, the 16-year-old girl, a student of class 11, had left her coaching centre at Janjirawala intersection and informed her mother that she would be home in half an hour. However, when she did not return after an hour, and her phone became unreachable, her worried family reported her missing to the MIG police station, fearing a kidnapping.
Huge Police Force Participated in Search
Given the high-profile nature of the case, multiple police teams were deployed, and top officials, including those in Bhopal, were alerted. The media outlet reported that the Director General of Police (DGP) of Madhya Pradesh was in constant contact with the Indore police and monitored the situation closely.
'Kidnapped' Girl Was Sleeping in Her Room
The police traced the last known location of the girl’s phone to an area near her home, but the phone was switched off. The search continued until 12:30 am when a family member returned home and found the girl asleep in her room.

Upon waking her, the girl explained that heavy traffic had delayed her return. She had used a spare key to enter the house and, assuming her family was out, went to sleep. Her phone had run out of battery, causing it to switch off.
