Pune, August 20: A woman passenger was forcibly deboarded from an IndiGo Airlines flight (6E 5261) bound for Delhi after she assaulted two passengers and bit a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official during the boarding process at Pune’s Lohegaon Airport. The incident occurred on Saturday morning at approximately 7:45 am.

According to a report published by the Times of India, the woman first attacked two passengers who were already seated inside the aircraft. The situation quickly escalated, prompting the flight crew to intervene and call a CISF team for assistance. Accordingly, CISF constables Priyanka Reddy and Sonika Pal arrived at the scene. Despite the aggression, the CISF personnel managed to control the situation calmly and escorted the woman and her husband off the plane. This incident resembles a previous one involving a woman passenger on an Akasa Air flight from Lucknow to Mumbai. In that case, the woman created a disturbance towards the cabin crew and fellow travellers, leading to her removal from the flight. She was later charged under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for intentionally insulting and provoking others, thereby disrupting public peace and order.
