Lucknow, January 21: The IndiGo flight 6E-451 operating from Lucknow to Jaipur on Monday was turned back to Lucknow. After the take-off of the aircraft, one of the engines stalled midair and pilots observed high vibration on engine number 2. As a precaution, the aircraft returned back to Lucknow. The passenger plane is currently at the airport and being inspected by the technical team. IndiGo 'Worst' Airline Service, Ranks Parliamentary Committee, Cites 'Rude Staff, High Fares' Among Reasons.

According to news agency ANI, "Indigo Neo engine detected glitch midair on Jan 21 from Lucknow- Jaipur 6E 451. One engine was stalled midair after takeoff followed by high vibration. Aircraft was turned back to Lucknow." Indigo's Neo Engine Faces Trouble Mid-Air, Pilot Continues the Flight to Land at Port Blair; Airline Issues Clarification.

Earlier, in a similar incident, on November 22, Indigo's neo engine face trouble mid-air. There were reports that the plane made an emergency landing but putting aside the reports. The airline in a statement clarified that, "the pilot observed a minor engine sensor issue which did not warrant any automated caution." Indigo also claimed that pilot continued the flight and made a normal landing at Port Blair.

Meanwhile, last month, Indigo was ranked the worst airline service provider by a Parliamentary Standing Committee. Trinamool Congress MP Derek O Brien, lashing out at Indigo said, "Our committee is very clear that the worst performing airline for consumers is Indigo, They haven't responded inspite of many complaints". "Indigo even charge for 1-2 kg overweight, this has not been taken very well and the committee is looking into the matter seriously," he added.
