Indian Railways: Delhi Passenger Reservation System, Internet Booking, Inquiry Services to Remain Shut on November 9 and 10; Check Schedule

According to details by the Indian Railways, the reservation activities, internet booking and allied inquiry services on Telephone No. 139 will not be available during this time.

New Delhi, November 6: The Delhi Passenger Reservation System will temporarily remain shut for nearly two hours on November 9. According to a tweet by ANI, the services will remain shut from 11.45 pm on 9th November, 2018 to 01.40 am on 10th November, 2018 for maintenance. According to details by the Indian Railways, the reservation activities, internet booking and allied inquiry services on Telephone No. 139 will not be available during this time. Earlier in May, the passenger reservation system of the Northern Railway, the North Central Railway, the North Western Railway and the North Eastern Railway were temporarily suspended for around three hours. According to a report by PTI, The services will be closed from 10.30 pm on May 5 to 12.15 am on May 6 and again from 05.15 am to 06.25 am the same day.

The Indian Railways has been taking lots of efforts to eliminate all Unmanned Level Crossings (UMLCs) on Broad Gauge. According to a government release, 12 Zonal Railways - Central Railway, Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, East Coast Railway, North Eastern Railway, North East Frontier Railway, Southern Railway, South Central Railway, South Eastern Railway, South East Central Railway & West Central Railway are now become UMLC free on Broad Gauge route. Now, Pay More to Travel in Mumbai’s AC Local Trains Now.

The data by the government further inform on 01.04.2018, there were 3479 Unmanned Level Crossings on Broad Gauge routes. Total 3402 UMLCs have been eliminated in last seven months. Balance 77 UMLCs have also been planned to be eliminated by December 2018.
