Indian Police Foundation Calls For 'Strict Action Against Officials Making Communal Remarks' Days After Meerut SP's 'Go to Pakistan' Comment

New Delhi, December 30: The Indian Police Foundation (IPF), a multidisciplinary think tank on policing, tweeted on Monday marking its disapproval against the alleged communal and provocative remarks made by Meerut Superintendent of Police (SP) Akhilesh Narayan Singh against a group of local Muslims. The remarks, said IPF, can cause "great harm to the society". The IPF said in its tweet that "officials getting influenced by religious and caste considerations and making communal remarks are doing great harm to society." The video shows Meerut Superintendent of Police (SP), Akhilesh Narayan Singh walking in a narrow lane. The senior cop stops on noticing a few Muslim men standing. "Kahan jaoge? Is gali ko main theek karoonga (Where will you go? I will look over this lane)," Singh tells two men wearing skull caps.
