Indian Intelligence Agencies Carry Out 18-Month-Long Surveillance, Foil Suicide Bombing Attack Bid in Delhi

According to the report, a group of 12 operatives from the terror organisation ISIS were to carry bomb attacks in India after they were trained in Pakistan, discovered the Indian intelligence agencies.

New Delhi, July 11: A major terror attack was unearthed and the suicide bombing bid in New Delhi was foiled after the Indian intelligence agency carried out an 18-month-long "surveillance " exercise across three countries, reported the English daily The Indian Express. The report mentioned that the operation was carried out in Afghanistan, Dubai and Delhi.

According to the report, a group of 12 operatives from the terror organisation ISIS were to carry bomb attacks in India after they were trained in Pakistan, discovered the Indian intelligence agencies.

The report also states that the operation comprised of the Indian "plant" who supplied explosives to the IS operative and even arranged for the accommodation in New Delhi.

The arrests had taken place in New Delhi by the Indian agencies in September 2017. But The Indian Express claimed that the intelligence and diplomatic sources have confirmed the news to the paper now.

The IS operative living in Delhi, was in the capital in the guise of an engineering student reported the paper. He was arrested and sent to Afghanistan where he is believed to be in custody at a US military base. The report in the paper claimed that this particular operative is of such importance that his confessions and admissions have led the US forces to achieve "notable" success against the Taliban.
