Ahmedabad, May 21: The Indian Coast Guard and Directorate Revenue Intelligence on Tuesday morning caught a Pakistan fishing boat Al Madina carrying contraband. After receiving intelligence inputs, the Coast Guard was on a lookout for the Pakistani boat. The force also deployed its assets including the fleet of ships and aircraft along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) – the line that divides India and Pakistan in the Arabian Sea. According to the report published in Hindustan Times, Indian Coast Guard Ship Arinjay was deployed to patrol the IMBL, in addition, two interceptor boats – C437 and C408 – were also tasked to police Jakhau and Okha ports. The suspect vessel was spotted in the late hours of May 20 sailing the IMBL. The boat crossed the IMBL on May 21. It was intercepted 08 Nautical Miles inside Indian waters. A total of 194 packets suspected narcotics substance was recovered from the boat and six crew members were also apprehended, reported the media house. In March this year also, the Coast Guard Ship Rajratan intercepted a Pakistani Dhow which was carrying 100 kg of Heroin. The Pakistani ship with an Iranian crew was heading towards the Gujarat coast.
