Indian Army Warns of Possible Terror Attack in South India as Reports Say LeT Terrorists Infiltrated Into Tamil Nadu, Security Tightened
The Indian Army has received intelligence inputs of possible terror attacks in South India after security forces have recovered abandoned boats from Sir Creek in Gujarat. According to reports, security has been tightened in Tamil Nadu after the security agencies received information about the infiltration of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists into the state.
Pune, September 9: The Indian Army has received intelligence inputs of possible terror attacks in South India after security forces recovered abandoned boats from Sir Creek in Gujarat. While interacting with media on Monday, General-Officer-Commanding-in-Chief (GOC – C), Southern Command Lieutenant General Satinder Kumar Saini said, “We've inputs that there may be a terrorist attack in southern part of India. Some abandoned boats have been recovered from Sir Creek.” Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh Expresses Concern Over Expansion of China's Naval Power.
Lt Gen Saini further added, “We're taking precautions to ensure that designs of inimical elements & terrorists are stalled.” According to reports, security has been tightened in Tamil Nadu after the intelligence agencies received information about the infiltration of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists into the state.

In August, the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which was constituted by the Tamil Nadu government after the Intelligence issued a terror alert in Coimbatore, took into custody two suspects. The accused were detained for interrogation on suspicion of having links with an alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative nabbed in Kerala two days before.
Recently, an alert was also issued about a possible terror attack on Indian Air Force's air bases in Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had assured that the state government had been taking steps to thwart any possible terror attack in the state.
Last month, Indian Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh during his media interaction also pointed out that Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed is giving underwater training to its recruits to carry out an attack on India. Admiral Singh assured that the Indian Navy is fully prepared to tackle any threat.
