Indian Army Rejects Pakistan's Claim of Killing 6 Indian Soldiers Along LoC, Terms it 'Propaganda' to Seek International Attention

The Indian Army on Tuesday dismissed the Pakistan’s claim of killing six Indian soldiers in cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army also said India had not initiated ceasefire violation along the LoC.

New Delhi, August 20: The Indian Army on Tuesday dismissed Pakistan’s claim of killing six Indian soldiers in cross-border firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. Responding to Pakistan's DG ISPR’s tweet, the Indian Army said, “Initiation of ceasefire violation followed by false figure of Indian casualties is Pakistan's deliberate design to up the ante along LoC to desperately seek international attention. The Army maintained that there was only one fatal casualty and four non-fatal casualties in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishan Ghati sector. The cross-border firing began at around 11 am. The Indian Army retaliated strongly to the Pakistan’s aggression. The martyred soldier has been identified as Naik Ravi Ranjan Kumar Singh. Meanwhile, the injured soldiers, including an officer, were shifted to the nearest medical facilities.
