Solan, July 14: In a tragic incident, a three-storey hotel in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan collapsed on Sunday afternoon due to heavy rains. According to reports, more than 30 people including Indian Army personnel were feared stuck under the debris of the guest house building. A total of ten people have been rescued till now. Army personnel reportedly stopped at the hotel to have lunch. The incident took place near Kumarhatti-Nahan highway in Solan. After the incident, authorities immediately rushed to the spot. Director cum Special Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management DC Rana, said, “A total 25 persons were on the spot. It is raining heavily. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh received light to heavy rains since Friday. As per reports, Sarahan recorded a maximum rainfall of 131 mm. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also issued a yellow warning for heavy rains from Sunday to Tuesday in the state.
