Indian Army Jawan Injured as Pakistan Violates Ceasefire in Uri of Jammu and Kashmir

According to a tweet by ANI, the ceasefire violation was reported from the Uri sector of Baramulla in the state. The injured jawan has been admitted to hospital. More details awaited.

Jammu, December 5: An Army jawan was critically injured after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the ceasefire violation was reported from Uri sector in Baramulla district. Reports inform that the injured jawan has been admitted to hospital. Earlier this week, two army personnel were martyred and two others were injured in a mine blast along the LoC in Palanwala area in Akhnoor sector.  Jammu and Kashmir: Pakistani Troops Broke Ceasefire at LoC, Two Indian Soldiers Injured. 

In November, an Army soldier was killed and another was injured in ceasefire violation by the Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Krishna Ghati Sector (Mendhar), resulting in the death of a soldier and injuring another. Jammu and Kashmir: Indian, Pakistani Armies Exchange Heavy Fire at Line of Control in Poonch District.

In a separate incident, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Valley. While a Pakistani terrorist was shot dead by security forces in Akhnoor sector near International Border (IB), two other terrorists were gunned down when they tried to infiltrate in Keren sector of Kupwara district.
