Notably, the World War II was fought between 1939 to 1945. The US, which had sided with the Allied Powers, was involved in hectic military bombings on the bases of Axis Powers in Southeast Asia. Japan was left devastated after the United States dropped nuclear bombs in two cities - Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
