New Delhi, August 5: According to intelligence sources, terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed is planning an attack in Delhi on the occasion of Independence Day 2018. As per media reports, Jaish Chief Masood Azhar's brother named Abdul Rauf Ashgar's ex-bodyguard, Ebrahim Ismail alias Lambu is reported to have received training and is behind the planning of attack on 15 August in Delhi.

On July 19, there were reports of Pakistan-based jihadist group Jaish-e-Muhammad, reportedly training its cadres in deep sea diving with the aim to target "strategic assets" of the Indian Navy.

A Srinagar-based terror operative, apprehended in June this year by the Indian forces, has revealed the plot being hatched across the border by anti-India terror forces - Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen - to boost insurgency in Kashmir.

In the latest threat regarding Independence Day on August 15, news channel Aaj Tak reported that Pakistan's intelligence unit ISI, is the mastermind behind the planning of the attack. The report also mentions that in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) launchpad, terrorist organisations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish, and Al Badar, have been training close to 600 terrorists so as to attack India. The report says that the number of terrorists have gone up after Pakistan General Elections were concluded recently.
