The Income Tax (IT) department discovered a mysterious wealth of a Bengaluru auto rickshaw driver after receiving a tip that he owns a posh villa. The auto driver, Nalluralli Subramani, brought a villa in a gated community – Jatti Dwarkamai Villas in Whitefield area.

The complainant told the IT department that Subramani may have stashed away money in benami accounts since he had never filed income tax returns. The IT officials, however, said that no search operation was conducted and they haven't seized any money from Subramani's residence. “She was struggling to get a cab or rickshaw on a rainy day, I dropped her home that day. I also dropped her back home on another occasion. Since then, we had an agreement that she would pay me to drop her and pick her up whenever she needed transportation. We became friends and when she heard that my family and I were struggling financially, she offered to buy us a house,” Subramani said, reported The News Minute.
He also stated that the woman whenever visits Bengaluru stays at the villa as his guest. The IT officials said that Subramani has given proof for his financial transactions. The agency on April 16 had sent notices to Jatti Engineering Pvt Ltd, the firm which constructed the villa.
The officials have requested the firm to provide the accounting details pertaining to the sale of the villa to Subramini. Early investigations reveal that he is associated with some politicians, including BJP leader Arvind Limbavali. However, the MLA has denied his links with Subramani. No case has been registered yet, IT officials are probing the matter whether the woman gave money to him or not.
