Aligarh, July 7: Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday conducted a raid at an illegal slaughterhouse being run on premises of a Hind Agro factory in Aligarh and arrested 12 people. The raid was conducted after the police got a tip and formed an action team against the illegal slaughterhouse.

Earlier on June 30, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed the state police that every police must prepare a list of 10 most notorious criminals in its area and work pro-actively to prosecute them. Along with this, he had asked officers to ensure the safety of stray cattle and increase vigil on activities relating to illegal mining, illegal slaughterhouses and other crimes.
