IIT Indore Campus Doctor Molests 19-Year-Old Girl Student From Jharkhand, Arrested
A 19-year-old student who came for an internship at the Indian Institute of Technology- Indore (IIT-I) was allegedly molested by a doctor. The accused doctor, identified as Dr Namdev Sheshrao Dinde, who was posted at the campus health centre allegedly tried to make physical advances on the girl who had complained of stomach-ache.
Indore, December 23: A 19-year-old student who came for an internship at the Indian Institute of Technology- Indore (IIT-I) was allegedly molested by a doctor. The accused doctor, identified as Dr Namdev Sheshrao Dinde, who was posted at the campus health centre, allegedly tried to make physical advances on the girl who had complained of stomach-ache. According to a report in The Free Press Journal, "the girl reportedly informed the institute people about the incident but when they took the matter lightly, she called up Simrol police and narrated the incident."
A police team including a lady cop went to IIT Indore. However, they were stopped from entering the premises. The Police team then returned. When the girl came to know about the episode, she reached the police station and filed an FIR, The Free Press Journal.
Later, the institute handed over the accused doctor to the police. Two security guards, Mithun Meena and Manoj Makwana, who stopped cops from entering the campus have also been arrested for obstructing in the work of police.
