IAF Releases Promotional Video of Balakot Airstrikes on Air Force Day 2019 Event; Watch Video

The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday released a promotional video showing the story of the Balakot airstrikes conducted by the IAF pilots across the Line of Control on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps. The video was released by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Bhaduria.

New Delhi, October 4: The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday released a promotional video showing the story of the Balakot airstrikes conducted by the IAF pilots across the Line of Control on Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps. The video does not show the actual footage of the airstrikes. The voiceover featuring in the video talks about the Pulwama attack in which 40 Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) personnel were martyred. In the video, visuals of IAF pilots in a briefing room were used. Speaking at the press briefing, the IAF chief confirmed that in the aerial battle which took place on February 27, the Pakistan Air Force lost F-16 fighter jet. He said, “On 27th February in the aerial battle after attack by Pakistan, Indian Air Force lost one MiG-21 and Pakistan lost one F-16.” He also added that Rafale Jets and S-400 air defence missiles will boost the capability of the force.

Speaking on the Mi-17 chopper crash, which took place on the same day when the PAF jets intruded into the Indian Territory, the Air Chief Marshal said, “Court of Inquiry completed & it was our mistake as our missile had hit our own chopper. We will take action against two officers. We accept this was our big mistake and we will ensure such mistakes are not repeated in future.” Air Chief Marshal Badhuria also warned Pakistan of stern action if there is another terror attack. He added that the force will act as per the directions of the government.
