Hyderabad, May 21: The Hyderabad police recently arrested a youth for allegedly looting a businessman's house in the city. The accused, identified as S Shiva Kumar (20), was arrested on Monday, May 20, for robbing a businessman's locked house in the Jubilee Hills area. Police officials said that Kumar looted the house and used the funds to pay off his car loan EMIs.

Fingerprints Help Cops Solve Theft Case

According to a report in the Times of India, Kumar is a college who was working as a driver. Cops also said the accused was involved in two theft cases in Madhapur. Kumar was arrested after fingerprints found at the Jubilee Hills house matched with Kumar's fingerprints in old case records. A police official said that Kumar stole Rs 25 lakh in cash, gold, and silver items. After the incident, the police recovered Rs 23.70 lakh in cash and stolen valuables from Kumar's possession. Later, he was produced before a court. An officer said that Kumar noticed the businessman's house being locked while working as a driver for a private company.

After this, he planned to rob the house in the Jubilee Hills area. On Friday, May 17, Kumar noticed that the house was locked. Acting on his plan, he proceeded to loot the house. He did not share any of the money with his parents. Cops further said that the accused wanted to store the remaining cash and valuables for himself in the future.
