Hyderabad, November 29: In a shocking incident, a man in Hyderabad killed his friend in a fit of rage on Wednesday after a heated argument between them. Reports inform that the incident took place in Nayapul area, a famous place located in the old city of Hyderabad. According to a report by Hindustan Times, an autorickshaw driver from Chanchalguda area identified as Abdul Khaja (29) hacked Shakeer Qureshi (30) to death with a butcher’s knife.  Khaja repeatedly thrashed his friend on his head, neck and shoulders.

Qureshi was also an autorickshaw driver, reports informed. While the brutal incident took place, people gathered at the spot and watched the horrific scene. The video that went viral on social media showed that onlookers did not intervene to stop Abdul from assaulting Qureshi. After being hacked, Qureshi fell on the ground and Khaja butchered him with the knife. After killing his friend, Khaja shouted that Qureshi had threatened him with a knife an also kept abusing him. The report quoted Hyderabad Police saying that the murder took place in the Mirchowk police station limits. According to report, Assistant commissioner of police (Mirchowk) B Anand informed that Khaja was drunk and enmity was the motive behind the murder. The report informs that Khaja had given his auto rickshaw to Qureshi on rent while he gave it to another friend Akeel. When Khaja asked Qureshi about his decision, he allegedly abused him, his mother and sister, which triggered the fight between the two.
