Hyderabad: IAF's CHetak Helicopter Makes Emergency landing In Hakimpet Due To Technical Snag
A Chetak helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing in a village in Siddipet after technical snag.
Hyderabad, August 29: A Chetak helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing in a village in Siddipet after technical snag. According to reports, it was on routine training and took off from Hakimpet base of Hyderabad.
This is not the first time that IAF helicopters have made emergency landing due to a technical snag. In may, An IAF's Chetak helicopter crash landed at Jammu and Kashmir's Natha Top. All the crew members of the helicopter were safely rescued from the crashed chopper.
Meanwhile, in April This year, Mi-17 V-5 helicopter of the IAF crashed near the Kedarnath temple. The accident occurred after the helicopter collided with an iron girder near the helipad. In June , fighter jet Sukhoi-30MKI crashed in Nashik district of Maharashtra. Two pilots who were on board managed to eject safely before the crash.
