Hyderabad, February 7: In a shocking incident, a minor girl in Hyderabad sustained severe injuries after she was stabbed multiple times by an alleged stalker in her area. According to reports, the 17-year-old girl was brutally attacked near her home on Wednesday while she was on her way to college. The accused has been identified as a 19-year-old Bharat. According to a report by The News Minute, Bharat stabbed the girl multiple times with a large, sharp knife and then dragged her into a small lane where he continued to assault her. The accused has been absconding since the day the incident took place. Additional DCP Central Zone, P Govinda Reddy was quoted in the report saying an FIR has been filed into the matter and the accused has been charged with attempt to murder. Reports informed that the girl was severely injured after the incident and was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet. The PRO of the hospital was quoted in the report saying that the girl had been attacked 15 to 17 times on her neck, head and hands. The victim's sister informed that usually, her uncle dropped her to college, but on the day of the incident, she had gone alone. The victim’s uncle confirmed that Bharat and the girl were not in a relationship, but he had been harassing her for quite some time. The uncle even tried to talk to Bharat, who said he would not harm the girl. The family said, they had already filed a complaint about Bharat harassing the girl, but no action was taken.
