Hyderabad, April 14: In a shocking case of alleged sexual assault, a 3-year-old toddler has been violated with stones and twig at a posh pre-school in the city. The accused, said to be two female ayahs (helpers), are on the run following the incident on April 10. An FIR has been registered against the accused under the stringent provisions of Prevention of Children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
Child-right activists have demanded the closure of derecognition of the institute, based in the high-scale Madhapur area, where the girl was subjected to the horror. 9-Year-Old Raped in Mumbai's Juhu.
Reports citing officials privy to the case said the victim's clothes had blood stains, which compelled the parents to rush her to a private medical facility. Subsequently, she was taken to the Niloufer government hospital, where the doctors found her to be sexually violated.
According to P Achyuta Rao, a child-rights activist, the police had delayed the investigation into the case by a day citing the April 11 parliamentary elections in the state.
However, Madhapur sub-inspector of police Rammohan Reddy told reporters that the girl was immediately rushed to the hospital, and a case was registered against the two helpers, identified as Parveen and Narsamma. They have been booked under sections 5 and 6 of POCSO Act.
The school management is yet to issue a statement on the incident. The case comes nearly 7 months after 2 four-year-old girls were allegedly raped at a noted educational institute in Telangana.
