Varanasi, September 8: An IndiGo Airbus flying from Hyderabad to Gorakhpur made an emergency landing at Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi Airport on Sunday, September 8. An emergency landing was made due to a technical glitch in the aircraft. Last month, a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Nagpur with Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari aboard, aborted take-off after the pilot noticed a technical glitch. On August 28, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had called an urged meeting with IndiGo and GoAir in wake of several glitches reported by the Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines that run Airbus A320 Neo planes. In past few months, no-frill carrier IndiGo and GoAir faced several glitches often leading to grounding and emergency landing.
