Hyderabad, July 22: In a freak accident, a 17-year-old boy died after allegedly getting kicked by a horse in Hyderabad’s Chandrayangutta on Thursday, July 18. The boy collapsed on the road and was taken to the hospital after complaining of stomach pain. He was immediately shifted to another hospital, where he died of an internal disease. “However, the cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem examination,” said the police. 

According to a report by the Times of India, the deceased, identified as Mohd Ibrahim, attended a Muharram procession at Engine Bowli in Falaknuma with his friends on Thursday evening. During the parade, Ibrahim walked near a horse used for joy rides and got kicked in the stomach.  Therefore, his friends immediately admitted him to a nearby private hospital. Seeing his condition, the doctor advised his parents to shift him to another hospital. However, the parents took him home. Two days later, when Ibrahim complained about a stomach ache, he was again admitted to Osmania General Hospital. A case was registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). The officials are still investigating it. The details of the horse and its owner are being verified.
