Hyderabad, Sep 19: In a shocking incident, a final year student doing Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from Panineeya Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital in Hyderabad allegedly committed suicide on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place on the night of September 17 at his residence in Madannapet police station area.
In his suicide note, the deceased stated that he was harassed by the college staff. "The deceased mentioned harassment by college staff in a suicide note. Body sent for postmortem. Case filed", the Police informed.

Various suicide cases have been reported from across the nation where students resort to committing suicide due to depression, harassment by school and college authorities, failing in subjects among others. Earlier this week, a Dalit student in Madhya Pradesh was found hanging from the ceiling of the Tagore Campus hostel. Reports inform that the student was a student of Sagar University, a central university from Madhya Pradesh.
The student has been identified as Deversh Bagri who hailed from Santa district of MP. Reports inform that he was worried about the new examination pattern introduced by the administration and gave up his life because he couldn't handle the stress. In another similar incident, an IIT-Guwahati student committed suicide by hanging herself from a fan in her hostel room earlier this week. The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Nagashree Aithal. Reports inform that the girl, a first-year mechanical engineering student, was unhappy about having to study engineering.
