Chennai, August 11: Superstar Rajinikanth has come out in support of Narendra Modi government's move to revoke Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. At a function in Chennai on Sunday, actor-politician Rajnikanth termed PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah as "Krishna and Arjuna" of the epic Mahabharatha. The actor made this statement during a release of the book “Listening, Learning and Leading” written by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. "My heartful congratulations to you for mission Kashmir. The speech you delivered in Parliament was fantastic. Amit Shah and Modi Ji are like Krishna-Arjuna combo. They only know who is whom. I'm wishing good luck to you and good luck to the country through you," Rajnikanth said in an event in which Amit Shah released a book. On August 5, in a historic move, the government revoked the provision of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. With the new law in place, the northern state will be bifurcated into two Union territories — Jammu and Kashmir with a legislative assembly and Ladakh without one.
