New Delhi, January 31: The Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha website has been hacked by a cyber group to avenge the humiliation meted out to Mahatma Gandhi by the right-wing group on the Martyrs' Day. The hackers have identified themselves as "Kerala Cyber Warriors", and posted messages on the Mahasabha's website praising the teachings of the "Father of the Nation".
The landing page of the website reads as follows: "Hindu Mahasabha Murdabad". The message on the subsequent line pays homage to Gandhi, calling him an "inspiration" for the masses. Martyrs' Day Observed as Nation Recalls The Infamous Assassination by Nathuram Godse.
"Gandhi ji, always remained an inspiration globally for people to follow the right path, the path of non violence in all their actions," it reads.
The hackers further quoted a popular saying of the Mahatma, which states as follows: "Nobody can hurt me without my permission. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

The hacking was reported a day after a Hindu Mahasabha leader based in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh, Shakuna Pandey, enacted the assassination of Gandhi and garlanded a bust of his assassin, Nathuram Godse. The video of of the incident went viral. Watch here.
Godse, who was convicted of murdering Gandhi, was a member of the Hindu Mahasabha. He has been revered by the conservative group as a "patriot", who killed Gandhi after holding him responsible for the nation's partition.
