In December last year, the Indian Railways introduced Vistadome coach, having a glass roof to make the journey for all its tourists commuting on the 96-km long Unesco World Heritage Kalka-Shimla track. The Railways had said that the new look was likely to cost more than Rs 500 per seat, catering to mostly foreign tourists.

The narrow gauge track takes tourists through several beautiful locations. With the new Vistadome coach, tourists in Shimla will be able to experience snow and rainfall in these glass-enclosed coaches.
