Himachal Pradesh: 2 Dead, 25 Injured After Bus Plunges Into Gorge in Bilaspur
At least two people died and over 25 injured after a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus fell in a gorge in Jamli area in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Bilaspur, December 26: At least two people died and over 25 injured after a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus fell in a gorge in Jamli area in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. As per reports, the bus was travelling from Nalagarh to Jainagar when the tragic incident took place. Authorities have rushed to the spot Rescue operations are underway and injured were shifted to a district hospital. More details are still awaited.
Bilaspur Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar told PTI that one person died on the spot whereas the other succumbed to injuries when he was being taken to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, on December 23, two people died and one injured when a truck fell from a bridge in Solan district of the state. The accident took place near Gambarpull Nallah.
Earlier in November, nine people lost their lives when an overspeeding bus fell into a gorge in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. In the accident, four passengers died on the spot, while five critically-injured persons succumbed during the treatment.
