Faridabad, September 19:  In another incident of sexual assault, a woman was allegedly thrashed and gang-raped by four men in Ballabhgarh on September 18. Her friend was also reportedly beaten up by the accused. The victim and her friend managed to escape somehow and informed the police. As per the police, they have recovered important evidence from the spot. Cops have also rounded up some men, and the interrogation is underway.

The Ballabhgarh gangrape is the second incident of sexual assault within a week in Haryana. Earlier, on September 12, a 19-year-old CBSE topper hailing from Rewari was abducted from a bus stop in Kanina town in Mahendragarh district when she was on her way to a coaching class. She was allegedly drugged and gang-raped at a room adjoining a tubewell in an agricultural field. Three men including one of the prime accused, Nishu, have been arrested by Haryana Police. An army personnel Pankaj and Manish are still absconding.

The police had also arrested two other men in the case -- Dr Sanjeev, who first attended to the woman following the crime, and Deen Dayal, at whose room she was allegedly raped. The Special Investigating team (SIT) probing the case is conducting raids to nab the other two accused.
