Jind, May 28: In a tragic incident, three people were killed and several others were injured as a Haryana Roadways bus overturned after hitting a divider on Monday. According to reports, the incident took place near Jajanwala village at Jind's Danoda area on Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Neha Singla of Hisar, Amit Kumar of Bhiwani, and Atma Ram of Rajasthan's Hanumangarh district. The bus was en route to Chandigarh from Hisar. Narwana DSP Jagat Singh said that the process of First Information Report (FIR) registration will be followed soon after recording the statement of the wounded passengers. Two bodies have been kept at Narwana civil hospital while one is sent to Uklana hospital for autopsy. According to reports, it appears that the bus was trying to overtake a truck when the driver lost its control. The bus first rammed into a divider and then overturned. Two people died on the spot, while one succumbed during treatment.
In a similar incident, a 42-year-old man was killed after his car hit a Haryana Roadways bus on May 20. The accident occurred near Nirjan village of Jind district. In the incident, some passengers suffered injuries while the car driver died on the spot.
