Haryana Horror: 15-Year-Old Gangraped in Punhana, Gets Raped Again After She Asks for Lift to Reach Home

Gurugram, August 8: In a shocking incident, a minor girl in Haryana was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by five men in Punhana. Reports inform that the 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped on July 30 by men of the same area as that of the victim. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the victim, in her complaint stated that she was threatened with a country-made pistol against disclosing the incident to anyone. The girl, however, managed to escape from the spot. Police informed that a case was registered earlier this week after the father of the girl lodged a complaint. In his statement, the victim’s father said he found the girl the next day near his old house in a traumatic condition. The report states that a medical examination was conducted and the girl’s statement was recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC at the Nuh court.

The report quotes Kirshan Kumar, station house officer of Punhana police station, saying that the girl had informed her parents about the incident. She said that one of the suspects, who is acquainted with the girl, kidnapped her and took her to a secluded area and called his friends, who later raped her. Police said that no missing persons complaint was filed when the girl did not return home on July 30.

According to Police, the investigation was transferred to the women’s police station after which teams were formed and raids were conducted at suspected locations to nab the culprits. The report further states that a case under sections 34 (common intention), 363 (kidnapping), 366A (procreation of minor girl), 506 (threatening for life) of the Indian Penal Code, relevant sections of the Arms Act and under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.
