Chandigarh, September 4: In a series of progressive measures aimed at uplifting the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has introduced several initiatives to improve the community's socio-economic status. As a member of the OBC community himself, CM Nayab Singh Saini has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by this group.

The state government has earmarked a substantial budget of INR 13,000 crore for the Bhagwan Vishwakarma Yojana. Under this scheme, the youths will receive training in 18 trades. This initiative not only offers financial assistance to trainees but also supplies kits to help them develop essential skills. CM Nayab Singh Saini Increases Creamy Layer Income Limit

CM Saini's dedication and commitment to uplift the OBCs can be seen in his decision to increase the annual income limit for the creamy layer in government jobs from INR 6 lakh to INR 8 lakh, excluding salary and agricultural income. This adjustment aligns with central government guidelines and aims to broaden access for OBC candidates.

Skillful Learning and Job Creation

The state government has devised multiple schemes to support the OBC community in education and skill development. The state is providing scholarships to OBC students to ensure better access to education and is organising skill development programs to equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in the job market.

CM Saini's administration has also introduced several initiatives to enhance job creation for the OBC community.
