Haryana: 7 Bathinda Policemen Injured After Attack by Suspected Drug Peddlers And Villagers in Sirsa, Act Caught on Video
Seven policemen were injured on Wednesday after suspected drug peddlers and villagers attacked a Bathinda police team that raided the Desu Yodha village in Sirsa district of Haryana. Police were reportedly beaten after a 45-year-old villager was killed in the crossfire between them and a gang of suspected drug dealers.
Haryana, October 10: Seven policemen were injured on Wednesday after suspected drug peddlers and villagers attacked a Bathinda police team that raided the Desu Yodha village in Sirsa district of Haryana. Police were reportedly beaten after a 45-year-old villager was killed in the crossfire between them and a gang of suspected drug dealers.
According to a report on the Tribune, police were tipped off about a possible drug ring at the Haryana village by two people they had arrested on Monday with 6,000 tramadol tablets. The suspected dealer and his gang attacked Police, forcing the latter to retaliate.

In the altercation, a bullet hit villager Jaggi Singh and he got killed. This infuriated the villagers and they attacked the Bathinda police team. When the situation went out of control, Haryana Police had to intervene.
Among the seven policemen injured, one of them has been hit by a bullet and is reportedly in a critical condition. The suspects have vandalised the police vehicles as well.
