Haryana, September 14: A 19-year-old college student, who was felicitated by the President of India after being brilliant in academics and topping the CBSE board exam, was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by four to five people at Kanina in Haryana's Mahendergarh district, police said on Thursday.

The girl was on her way to the coaching centre when three men purportedly abducted and dragged her to a field, where they sexually assaulted her. The parents of the girl claimed that police refused to take their complaint and file FIR. The concept Zero FIR means that an FIR can be filed in any police station irrespective of place of incident/jurisdiction and later can be transferred to the relevant police station. (With inputs from PTI)
