Gurugram, August 10: In another incident of sexual assault against women, a man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping and blackmailing a 19-year-old fellow student for than 20 times over a period of seven months. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, The accused also made a video of the act and blackmailed the victim. The girl is a student of a polytechnic college in Hisar. She filed a complaint on against the fellow student on Wednesday.

According to the report, an FIR was registered at Sector 14 police station in Gurugram under IPC sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). The victim’s statement was recorded before a magistrate, and her medical examination was also conducted. The 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the accused for the first time on January 17 when she came to Gurugram to visit her relatives.

In her complaint to the police, the girl mentioned that on January 17, she got a call from the accused for notes. As per her police complaint, the accused called her to a hotel in old Delhi, where he offered her a drink mixed with drugs and then raped her. The man also filmed a video of the incident and then blackmailed her for not telling it to anybody. He even did not allow her to speak to anybody in the college. In the report, the victim claimed that her fellow student raped her 20 times after that. The age of the accused is around 32 years of age.

A similar type of incident reported from Panchkula, where 40 men raped a 22-year-old woman for four days in a guest house in Morni hills. The man known to her husband called her to the guest house for a job. Three officials of Haryana police were also suspended for their negligence in the case.
